About the Event
Located in Dilley, Texas, south of San Antonio, the Ranch is a world class training facility. The property consists of a shoot house, multiple sim-houses, 2 tracks, 360 degree shooting bay and more....and we plan to use them all! This will depart from our normal event layout; instead we will focus on more of an urban combat enviornment.
This will be an invatation only event with a cap of 50 competitors. Invites will be based on participation/registration of RWR, HR3, and Venado events and/or the current top competitors in the series standings. SHOULD spots be availible after invitees have had time to register we will open up sales to the public.
Beginning at 9 pm, this will be a night-time match that offers a unique opportunity for participants. Competitors will complete the course and stages in the dark!
The main course measures approximately 5 miles long with 7 stages. Exact distance and round count will be released as the course is finalized, about a week prior to the event.
Night Match Specifics:
Hosting this competition at night provides a truly distinctive experience for competitors. There will be 2 options for registration:
- Night Vision: All targets will be blacked out. No light will be provided
- White Light: Rifle targets past 100 yards will be illuminated. Competitiors will need to illuminate all Pistol targets
Below details a few of the features unique to a night course:
- The course itself is marked with glow sticks and stage entrances will be well identified
- Depending on the division selected rifle targets will be illuminated for you.
- Pistol targets are illuminated or visible with a weapon light.
We will be limiting the number of overall competitiors in this event and will be increasing the round count. We hope the combination of the 2 will provide a better experience. Additionaly each participant will recieve an event T-Shirt as part of their event fee.
Run n Gun is a 2-gun biathlon. Competitors carry a rifle and pistol over a predetermined course of fire ranging in distance.
Each competitor is assigned a unique start time to enter the course. Re-supplying once on the course is not permitted.
Competitors will encounter several stages to shoot at throughout the course. These stages may be rifle only, pistol only, or a combination of the two.
Competitors have 3 minutes to complete a stage. If the competitor fails to complete a stage within the time allotted, they will receive a Did Not Finish (DNF).
Each stage has a unique layout including varying numbers of targets and distances to the targets. Competitors must be able to adapt to the stage, target size, and distance on their own in order to complete the stages. Generally, pistol targets will range from 15-50 yards; while rifle targets will range from 75-400 yards.
Prior to the event we will update the round count but will not release the stage descriptions.
Competitors will be put in unique situations and positions that will require engaging targets they might not be accustomed to. Additionally, some stages might require movement, or transitions from one position/weapon to another. Safety is paramount. Competitors and ROs will ensure that shooters are moving with the safety on, finger off the trigger, and muzzle down range. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
While running on the course, rifles will not be loaded or have a mag inserted. Pistols are allowed to be in condition 1 (or loaded) while holstered. Competitors will be checked at the start/finish along with the entry/exit of every stage. Failure to follow this (or competition specific rules/regulations) will result in immediate disqualification.
Our competitions will weight your scores 60% for shooting and 40% for run time, unless otherwise specified on the event page. White Light and Night Vision results will not be broken out - all results will be groped together.
Competitors will not be allowed to camp on the property. There are a number of hotels and AirBnBs in the area that you can check out.
